Little Mathlete

Most of our blog readers will already know this, but Kelly and I are expecting a little Mathlete early next year. We are really excited and fairly nervous too. We are suddenly dealing with things we thought were out in the distant future like daycare, pregnancy, college savings, etc... All fun things to worry about.

We are thankful to all the support and well-wishes we have recieved from friends and family. Raising a child in Seattle is going to be fun. There are so many good things to do and take part in; we have great hospitals, good schools, a diverse culture, and we're surrounded by parks and activities.

We'll keep everyone posted as the blessed event draws nearer.

I guess this is the beginning of our big announcement. Just so everyone knows, the picture is not of the nursery, but of a nursery we really like.

We couldn't be happier for you guys and can't wait to welcome the new little Mathlete!

You'll have to make a space for Scooter as well, so he does not feel left out and goes postal on you both.

Congratulations! Is it ok for me to hope that you have the baby while I'm there? It'll save me a trip to come see the new Mathlete.

In fact, I bet if you ask your doc nicely, they'll let me deliver your baby. I'll have already completed my OB rotation by then, so I'll be a pro at baby catching!

Haha, just kidding! There are some things you just don't need your sister-in-law helping out with.

Yay Jones's!!!! We're so happy for you guys. It'll be really cool to have a little mathlete running around. I bet he/she and Scooter will nap together.

Congrats! What exciting news!

(I found you through Bop and Beep's site. I always enjoy finding new blogs to read of people I know in real life.)

Hey,Lucy told me you two were blogging and expecting. I came over to check out your space.
Congrats on the pregnancy. Isn't it crazy? It is wonderful and strange and still, after nine month, unbelievable.
If you can, be sure to take advantage of First Weeks/Next Months. (A program for new parents sponsored by the Community Birth and Family Center.) It made my transition into motherhood so much easier.
