It took some coaxing, but Lil' Mathlete was born Thursday, February 12 at 10:52 pm. He weighed 7 lb 9 oz and was 22-inches long. Though, i'm not sure about the whole length thing because at his appointment today he was 19.75-inches. I don't think babies shrink, but what do i know.
Kelly and I absolutely love him and are glad to finally see him. He's definitely an independent child and likes to do things on his own schedule. (We're working to change that).
We're now in that wierd world of 'are we really parents?'. It is so strange to be in the new stage of our lives. So far, it's a lot of late night feedings and sleeping in 3-hour intervals between feedings

Congratulations Steve and Kelly! He's a handsome guy!
Congratulations! he is absolutely adorable!
Kelly I hope you get to feel better everyday, enjoy the magic!
Congratulations, you guys! I wondered when he was going to get here. I"m sure you guys were wondering the same thing.
Kelly, be sure to visit work sometime when you are feeling up to it and show off the newest Mathlete!
YAY! You have a baby!
We were all starting to wonder if he was coming. There was even talk about putting it on the task list but I talked them (Doug, Zak, Tim and Andrey) out of it.
When you feel better (and/or get stir crazy) come visit the office.
Congratulations! Babies are a lot of fun but definitely a lot of work (especially the first few weeks). Good luck with the new schedule!
An independent shrinking baby...you two have your work cut out for you! Luckily he is really cute so that should make up for the rest :)
Congrats! He is so handsome! And what a grand birthday ... the same day as one of ours :) !! And I get you on the whole length thing. They measured our third wrong, though instead of shrinking he grew nearly 2 inches in less than 24 hours :) ?!?
Congratulations! What a cute little boy you have there. I can't wait to meet him. And may you get more sleep ... in a few months. :)
Any melt downs or exorcist style poopings/barfings yet on your watch while Kelly sleeps?
No projectile vomit yet, but thanks for asking Dan. I'll be sure to take a picture for you. I have been pee'd on several times already, though. I haven't mastered the diaper change yet.
Sorry...I'm still trying to figure out blogger...
He's here!!! The picture of Steve and Miles with eyes open is so awesome. I never tire of seeing clear, alert, taking-it-all-in newborn baby eyes. What a blessing that mom and baby are home and healthy!
What a handsome little mathlete!!!! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! Love the name. He's adorable. Hope you all can get some rest.
I love all the pictures and am so excited for you guys. When our first child was born, our home felt completely different - very peaceful and special. These first few weeks and months getting to know him will be in your memory forever so I'm glad you are all enjoying it! I do wonder how much longer he had wanted to stay in there though! Stay well and get sleep when you can!
Good job, Steve and Kelly! I can only imagine how exhausting it must have been to have to coax him to join the world. Our Joshua needed similar encouragement, and he's hesitance is still endearing to me. (You should see him try to talk his swim teacher into letting him sit on the edge of the pool while he watches HER swim! So funny. I digress.) Anyway, I'm excited for you. I'm sure Scooter has trained you well for all that you're dealing with. I promise the fog will lift, but keep your freezer stocked with ice cream to stay awake.
Congrats! I can't believe this is your first child! We just had #3!AHHH
