The child is never coming

Well I'm a few days past my due date and there is still no progress on the child entering the world. Last night we even tried walking quickly (for me, for any normal person it would be walking slowly) and eating spicy mexican food. Nothing happened except a little heartburn.

My next hope for something happening is the full moon coming up on the 9th. Hopefully, he will respond to that.

I can't imagine! I was never late with our kids but KNEW it would be frustrating and tiring. A friend at our school once told me, when she went overdue, in a quiet moment she "asked" her baby when he was going to come. He "told" her back something about being afraid to hurt her. Okay SUPER CHEEZY but it might be worth a shot to connect with him and "ask." And that will be the last cheezy thing I ever tell you to do!

I'm not very superstitious, but I am thinking the full moon might just do it too. Good luck!

Liz Vance swears by Cod Liver Oil. I personally think it would make me throw up, but she says it makes babies come out. And she has 5. She might know.

One of our baby books actually addresses the liver oil myth and quickly dismisses it. The book says that the oil acts as a laxative and the last thing you may want/need is a case of the runs when you're in labor. Besides, where does one get Cod liver oil these days?

Good point about the laxative. I say live up your last childless days and hang out and Dan and Holly's for a midnight baby craft extravaganza. You're running out of days to do that.

I debated whether or not to call you guys...I know how much you love questions about when you are going to give birth :)...but we figured we'd hear if something happened. Maybe you should try reading him twilight on the full moon night, that might just irritate him enough to come out and slap you!

Go jump on the neighbor's trampoline. That might help.

I found having a nervous breakdown helped, at least with the first. I believe I had to have several before the second was born. But I only had one with Anna and it was the night before I went into labor.
