Diaper Bag is finished

After some tears, screaming, getting mad at Scooter (he likes to help), and swearing, I finished my diaper bag. I realize I'm having a boy but I figure he is not the one who is carrying the bag so I made something for me. It's probably the most difficult sewing project I have done.

The view from the inside shows a lot of pockets. This was a large portion of the frustration. Don't ask me why every pocket needed two pleats.

I must say, I look good with this bag. It screams "hip mom, ready to take over the world"

That bag is fantastic! I'm impressed because I'm not sure I would have taken on that project. It looks like it would take a lot of patience. You do look very hip with it at your side.

WOW! That bag is awesome! I'm still struggling to finish my placemat project. Yeah, like I said, I'm not much of a sewer!

Wow is that Marimekko (sp?) fabric? LOVE it! Nice and big too. Nathan's decided you are the ones to go to the movies with and sneak candy and drinks in.

Boy don't i feel silly. I thought you wanted a diaper bag not a baby carrier.

It does like nice. Awesome sewing! Engineers can build anything. Where do the bottles go?

I also thought Stephen told us he wanted something non-flowery?

Big bags are in.

I'm secure in my manhood enough to carry this around. Besides, it's Seattle, I can get away with it.

That's awesome Kelly! Good job! You are totally going to be the hippest mom in town. And Steve, the hippest dad.

To answer Kent's question, the two short pocket on either end of the bag are insulated and meant for bottles. The long pockets are not insulated. There is also a pocket on the outside for my cell phone. It is also insulated, I guess to prevent damage to the phone.

That really is a beautiful bag. I am in awe. I hate to sew, but if any of my projects turned out that beautiful maybe I wouldn't hate it so much.
