Last weekend was hot and miserable in Seattle. Plus, there was no breeze and it was relatively humid, which led to something unusual for Seattle: smog.The days were unbearably hot. No one could sleep because it was too hot to get comfortable. But, on the bright side, the sunsets were amazing. The smog filtered sunsets had just the right shades of pink. I tried to capture Friday's sunset with my phone's camera. It was one of those moments when I remembered why I love living in Seattle.
Luckily, the heat wave is over and we're back to rainy and 60-degree weather...that's how summer should be.

Way to accentuate the positive! That's what my mom always told us to do...there was even a little tune she sang it to.
I second the gratitude for the cooler weather! Especially today when it is semi-sunny and 70 degrees! These are the days I love Seattle as well.
I don't do heat. I'm only happy when it rains. Think of Shirley Manson and her group Garbage singing this anthem of choice.
