I'm lucky when it comes to Jury Duty

So Steve mentioned briefly that my jury duty which was supposed to happen December 22, was cancelled on Monday due to snow. I called to find out about Tuesday, December 23rd and found out that everyone who had been called to jury duty had been excused. That saved me a 1.5 hour commute (on a good day). Yippee!!

The only other time I have been called to jury duty, I was told on my summons that the case was expected to last 10 weeks. I had broken out in hives the day before and really did not want to go (I think I'm allergic to dyes and perfumes in laundry detergent). Anyway, like a good citizen, I went to serve my time only to be told the case has been settled and to go home.
